Since 2022, Balya Productions has proudly partnered with MusicNT to deliver the National Indigenous Music Awards on Larrakia Country.
Our crew works tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this nationally significant celebration to life at the Darwin Amphitheatre. From stage management and backline tech support to stagehands and photography, Balya Productions provides the backbone that ensures the artists and their stories shine on stage.

The Solar Slice at Harvest Rock 2023 funded a festival production mentorship program for First Nations interns in partnership with indigenous organisation, Balya Productions. This enabled two local mentees to learn the festival production ropes, who are currently pursuing careers in the festival sector. The project was championed by artist Bad Dreams.
In 2024, Balya Productions proudly produced and delivered the Yabaardu Festival — a grassroots celebration held in Ceduna, on the Far West Coast of South Australia.
The festival was headlined by award-winning artists Dan Sultan and Barkaa, whose powerful performances set the tone for an unforgettable event. Alongside them, Yabaardu showcased incredible local talent, blending music, culture, and community spirit into a one-of-a-kind experience.
From the stage to the crowd, Yabaardu reflected the heartbeat of the region — vibrant, proud, and deeply connected to Country.
In 2023, Balya Productions launched the inaugural Yabaardu Festival in Ceduna, on the Far West Coast of South Australia – Home town to the Director of Balya Productions, Letisha Ackland
The festival was headlined by the electrifying King Stingray, whose performance lit up the stage and set the standard for what Yabaardu represents — a celebration of music, culture, and community.
With strong grassroots support and local participation, Yabaardu 2023 marked the beginning of a new tradition: a festival that connects people through the power of live music and storytelling on Country
