Balya Productions is proud to announce the launch of the First Nations Music Workforce Development Program, a national initiative designed to strengthen First Nations participation, leadership and employment pathways across Australia’s live music industry.
The program will provide paid workforce development opportunities, mentorship, industry exposure and career pathways across live music, touring, festivals, technical production and event delivery, supporting the next generation of First Nations music industry professionals.
As a First Nations-governed organisation, Balya Productions is committed to creating meaningful and sustainable pathways that increase representation behind the scenes while building a stronger and more culturally diverse music workforce.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Music Australia and APRA AMCOS, and it will be guided by the Balya Productions National Industry Advisory Committee, which brings together respected leaders from across the music, live production and events sectors.
Together, we are investing in the future of First Nations leadership, skills development and employment across Australia’s music industry.
